Characters story: King Vegeta is..well, King of planet Vegeta. He has a son with the same name as him(Vegeta). Just by this information you would think he is incredibly(?) unoriginal, and maybe even a little bit..well, stupid. If you did think this, then prepare to change your mind.
After Frieza had taken over planet Vegeta, King Vegeta started formulating a plan. After only about 20 minutes he had this amazing plan finished. His plan was this: Take 10 of his finest men, and attack with a front assault. He figured that Freieza's men would be waiting for a suprise attack, so they would have foritifications around all flanks.
These Fortified flanks would keep more men away from the front area that it would be weaker, not to mention the fact that if Frieza was worried about suprise attacks he would have his best men there.
The final thought that KV* put into his plan was, to use something they do not have. If you know Saiyans, you will probably know what this edge is. Before attacking King Vegeta would send a ball of energy that looked like the moon. Anyways, his plan worked and Frieza was exiled back to his planet.
Nowadays King Vegeta is always finding ways to strengthen his army.
