Meraxa looked at the symbol he had placed on his clothing. It was the ancient character for 'Dragon', though in the original language it'd be pronounced 'Ryu'. Man, he couldn't believe it. He was forming his own martial arts school. Almost seemed funny really, laughable even. Him? As a martial arts teacher? He'd certainly be breaking age records, to say the least.
Well, at least he had one student right now, even if that student was practicing his recently discovered telekinetic powers. A lucky break really. They were getting to a point that there would be just too many dragonballs to carry by themselves. Heck, they probably wouldn't have been able to handle the next ball if they had found it.
"Um... master."
"What Cargo?" Meraxa turned his head to see his namekian pupil, four crystal spheres - the dragonballs - floating around him in perfect synchronisation.
"I believe I've got the telekinetics ability down, so maybe we should move on to the next dragonball?" Cargo asked, and Meraxa nodded, getting out the dragon radar.
"Yeah, no real point in... oh you've got to be kidding me." Meraxa's hand met his face as he groaned, before lying back down.
"What is it?"
"You know that dragonball we're looking for?"
"Yes..."
"Well according to the radar, there are two dragonballs to the north and south of here. But the third..."
"What about it?" Cargo asked, before Meraxa raised his hand, showing the radar.
"Apparently theres five of them around here."
"EEEEEHHHHH?!"
"Yeah, thats one way of putting it."
"B-but how?"
"Well... if something had swallowed it for a long enough time, and then spat it out again, its possible that whatever swallowed it would've absorbed enough of the electromagnetic energy that the dragonballs give off to show up on the radar as another dragonball."
"You mean...?"
"Yeah, I do. We're going animal hunting." Meraxa stood up, looking into the forest below. Five signals, and hopefully one of them would be the real deal. Well, better start now, than later.

A few hours later, and they already had four out of the five signals caught. Each one an animal, different in size and shape, but no dragonball.
"Theres only on signal left." Cargo pointed out as he covered the creatures in his ki, masking the dragonballs own energy that flowed through their bodies. It would mean they wouldn't appear on the dragon radar again, a minor but useful detail.
"Alright fine, now we- GET DOWN!" Meraxa yelled as he pushed his student aside, taking the full brunt of the shockwave attack as it flooded the area. Though whilst it wasn't all too powerful, it was its effects that were the problem. See, the human body works by sending electrical signals throughout the body from the brain. However, as the brain converts soundwaves into electrical signals through the ears in order to understand the meaning of such sounds, one can abuse that by sending a signal that severely messes with the brain, as was the case here. As a result, Meraxa wasn't able to guard fast enough, instead being sent flying by a powerful kick.
God freaking dammit, how was that kick so strong? Even if Meraxa didn't guard properly, it shouldn't have hurt THAT much.
Unless, it wasn't meant to. Of course, his entire nervous system was being messed up right now, that could mean his body was reacting far more painfully to even the slightest touch. He flicked himself, and felt like he had been punched.
"AAAAGGGGHHHH!" He screamed at his (unintentionally) self-induced pain. Yeah, his body felt as fragile as glass right about now. Not good.
And yet the soundwaves kept on coming, blasting into his ears, no way to fight back.
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH-!" Meraxa screamed on last time, before losing conciousness, the soundwaves finally stopping. Cargo, obviously worried, rushed to his master's side, and tried to heal him.
"That won't work Cargo, nothing about him is broken." A deep voice spoke out, Cargo suddenly stopping when he realised who it was.
"Typhoo?" Cargo asked, looking to see the incredibly thin namekian step out from the shadows. Of course, Typhoo was a master of sound-based techniques, a specialist one could say.
"Why did you hurt my master?"
"Master? This little sack of flesh? He couldn't even take my soundwave technique."
"He's human, his body works differently from ours. Though his ears may not be as sensitive, he has a nervous system in place of our reactant fluids."
"Ah, I see. That explains his pretty pathetic reaction for one with such a high amount of power. But if you say he's human, then thats useful."
"Huh?"
"I found something, and a message keeps coming from it, asking for human response."
"Alright, I'll carry him along with the dragonballs." Cargo said as he telekinetically lifted his master off the ground, along with the four crystal spheres, before remembering something.
"Hold on, we can't go yet - we have to find a fifth ball."
"Oh right. Don't worry, I've got it covered."

Meraxa's head ached, just fantastic. His eyes were heavy, but opening slowly. He could feel that he was in a chair or something, but where?
"Wake up sleeping beauty... I did get that right didn't I?"
"Yeah you did, thats the story they use as a metaphor or something."
"Ugh... Cargo?" Meraxa groaned the name seeing a short green shape move slightly in response - seemed to be a nod.
"W-where am I?"
"About two miles below the surface. Sorry for that whole brain scrambling thing earlier - didn't know you were with Cargo." A deep voice said, one Meraxa did not recognize. But... Meraxa being with Cargo? Shouldn't that have been the other way around since Meraxa was the master and Cargo the pupil? Didn't matter now really, what mattered was...
"WHY IN THE HECK AM I STRAPPED INTO THIS MACHINE?!" Meraxa screamed as his sight fully returned, showing himself to be plugged into some kind of pod, a few metres wide, and on some rather thin legs - hopefully they were strong, or the whole thing would collapse. It was the (rather thing as well) unknown namekian who answered.
"Well, this thing's been asking for a human response for several days now, and since Cargo told me that you're a human, I thought we could work something out." Meraxa gave the namekian a hard glare, a serious intent to harm obvious.
"Of course, I didn't know you were friendly and all, hence why I attacked first. My name is Typhoo, and-"
"I'm leaving." Meraxa stated bluntly, causing Typhoo's mouth to drop in shock.
"Wha-? Leaving?!"
"Yeah, its obvious that this won't hold me, I have no reason to cooperate, and with you right in front of me, I could beat you to the ground before you use that sound technique of yours."
"Kuh-" Typhoo sweated a little, Meraxa's words were true, but he was not completely unprepared.
"How about I give you the dragonball I have?"
That certainly got Meraxa's attention, to say the least.
"So it was you huh? The fifth signal?"
"Yeah, and to use it as a bargaining tool, I've quite simply-"
"Swallowed it, right? Must be painful, doing twice in the same week."
"Yeah, Nail has me do it the first time, then I have to swallow it again to make sure you'll cooperate."
"Do you Namekians have lessons about how to blackmail people? Or does it come naturally."
"Not sure, but anyways, you now willing to take this machine for a test run?"
"Fine. Fire her up." Meraxa said with a slight grunt, as Typhoo hit a switch. Well, if this thing was human, might as well see what it was doing on namek.
There was a build up in energy, blue bolts of electricity flying across the surface of the machine, before there was a flash of light, and Meraxa was gone.

"Time travel, should've known." Meraxa sighed as he lay in the field. It was Earth alright, but the position of the stars in the sky made it fairly obvious that it wasn't his time. But there was also something else, something odd...
"Ah, finally. I thought there'd be noone coming." A voice called out to Meraxa, who turned to look at him. He had a sword too, kinda like Meraxa's, and Tapion's actually. But the konatsians weren't a race known to man (he was an exception thanks to more time travel) so to have a blade like theres was a near impossibility. The guy had to be a teenager, maybe 18 or 19 years old, and their hair was a shade of purple. Weird.
"Who are you exactly?" Meraxa asked, might as well get some answers.
"I am the time patroller - Trunks. Though to be honest, I should be saying 'alternate' time patroller."
"Huh?"
"You haven't figured it out yet? This isn't your timeline, its a more... centrallised one shall we say? A prime universe of sorts. All other universes like this one are derived from it, using infinite possibility to lead to various outcomes and results. An organisation called the Dark Eye however has tried to abuse that fact. They know that if they significantly alter the prime universe, then every universe will change as a result."
"How so?"
"In this universe, a being known as Goku-"
"I know of a version."
"Thank you, but please don't interrupt. Anyways, he fought against two surviving saiyans and won, thus saving the Earth from destruction. However, if the saiyans were to have say, won here, in the prime universe, that would mean almost all universes would end up having their Earth be destroyed as a result as well. However, the Dark Eye know the laws of time travel as well as I do, and thus if they're defeated once at any point in time, they know they cannot go back to that time, or risk a paradox in doing so."
"In other words, you're trying to beat them at every significant event that might allow them to change history, right?"
"Precisely, though I've had... trouble."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, you see the Dark Eye are from the future, and thus they can calculate when and where the Earth was at specific points, by simply tracing the ages old light."
"Ah, I see."
"The problem for me is that I cannot call upon allies I already know, since a lot of the significant events involve them - and I have to avoid a paradox. Nor can I take allies from what I consider my past, or I risk exposing them to knowledge they should not know, espcially if they happen to know people who were involved in the events. And until my mother finishes all of her calculations, I can't go to the future, since if I'm even a second off in the timing to location ratio, I'll be tens of thousands of miles behind the Earth, and when a ship does a temperol jump, it requires at least five minutes cool down time." Trunks explained the physics, before continuing, "So my mother came up with a tempoary solution, even if we can only use it a few times due to incredible amount of power it consumes."
"Universe hopping eh?"
"Yes, based on the theory that all universes occupy the same location in their own fold of space, therefore so do the planets. Though I think we may have been slightly off..."
"No kidding, your little pod ended up on namek."
"Hey, noones even TRIED sending objects across universes before, so give me and my mum some slack alright? Consider yourself lucky that you didn't end up in the heart of a star on the return trip." Trunks told him, obviously annoyed, before hearing the roar of a very, VERY large animal in the distance.
"You willing to help?"
"Sure." Meraxa said as he raced off into the distance, Trunks standing guard by the pod.

Back on the Namek Meraxa knew, Cargo and Typhoo were waiting, the coughed up dragonball alongside the other four.
"So... he's your master, or sensei as some humans call them?"
"Yeah, he's taught me a lot. I can actually fight and everything. Not to mention I can actually shoot out one of his own techniques faster than he can."
"Whoo~ You're definitely not the little runt who went crying to Moori everytime his brother did something mean anymore, are you?"
"Hey! I didn't cry every time I went to Moori." Cargo said with anger on his face, before the two of them burst out laughing, memories were certainly fun in hindsight. However, that laughter turned to shock as blue lightning bolts filled the room, before in a burst of light, the pod Meraxa had disappeared in reappeared, Meraxa stepping out of the machine, waving 'hello' at the two.
"How long was I gone?" Meraxa asked, time travelling was one thing, but add that to universe hopping and who knew all long he could've been gone in theory.
"A-about a minute or so. Typhoo coughed up the 5 star ball as soon as you left." Cargo explained, Meraxa crouching down and wiping off the the namekian fluid on the ball with a piece of cloth.
"I see, five stars eh? That leaves the..."
"Six and four star balls." Cargo finished, and Meraxa nodded.
"Yeah, your right." He said as he raised a hand, and pointed it towards the machine, sending out a ki blast that blew it to pieces, scaring Cargo and Typhoo as well.
"W-why in the heck do you do that? You didn't even tell us what it did!" Typhoo yelled, before Meraxa raised a finger, effectively telling him 'shush'.
"Its a device that travels across time, space, and even other universes. Someone over on the other side told me just how risky it was after I helped him out - even asked me to blow it up afterwards so noone would use it and cause any adverse effects - like cause the two to collapse on each other or something like that." Meraxa explained as he signalled to Cargo to lift up the dragonballs with his telekinetic powers, as the two of them started to float in the air. Typhoo however still had questions.
"But hold on, why did you destroy it if that person was desperate enough to reach out to entire other universes for help? They could be in trouble even as we speak."
"Ah don't worry, after I helped him, turned out his mum had finally figured out the course of their Earth over the next hundred years or so, so he'll just be finding allies in the future."
"T-the future?! But how can he be sure they'll be able to help?"
"Eh? Hmm... just call it a hunch." Meraxa winked as he and Cargo flew off, leaving Typhoo utterly confused...

Meanwhile, several lightyears away, 216 years ahead of then, and a universe across, someone was beating their way through a few wolf men.
"A-ah! He's too strong!"
"This is what you get for hurting my friends!" The person yelled, as they charged blue energy in their hands, before shooting it out, sending his opponents flying into the distance.
"Hey Maria, you okay?" The person asked as he extended a hand to his friend on the ground. A lot of people kept on insinuating they were closer than that, but they weren't - really.
"Ugh, fine. I could've handled that you know, they weren't that high level."
"I know, but if you didn't finish them up quick enough, you'd be missing out on the adventure of a lifetime. C'mon, the others are ready and everything."
"Huh?" Maria responded, ready for what? Wasn't their journey the best thing that was gonna happen to them anyways? They walked on for a bit, before seeing the rest of their group, standing in front of a strange vessel.
"Hey Granga! Toga and my brother been giving you any hassle?" The person yelled out to his namekian best friend, a tall fellow really.
"Trust me, I've had it easy compared to Pacus over there." Granga said pointing to the pink humanoid - part of a race known as the majins - who was trying to stop a fatter, male version of the same species from simply turning every in sight into chocalate.
"Dammit Hoicus! This is the human sector, and they need their food supply!" Pacus yelled at the top of her voice, before just completely snapping and blasting the fatass into the ship herself, with Hoicus going,
"Aw~ But I want to know what furry chocalate is like~"
"I'll buy a sheep, and then you can turn THAT into chocalate, but until then - stay in there." She yelled slamming into a room on the ship, before locking the door on him.
"Now, now, be careful with that ship - I don't want to be stuck here if you break it." A familiar, purple haired warrior tried to control Pacus' raging anger.
"Trunks is right Pacus, we'll never see the past like that." Maria's friend laughed, before walking over to Trunks and giving him a triumphant handshake.
"Look, I may not know much about you, but the fact you're willing to trust us with the fate of the world makes for a pretty interesting partnership. Now how about you say we go and save the world?"
"I agree, lets do it...

...Meraxa."
