The training of a wolf Empty
PostSubject: The training of a wolf   The training of a wolf Icon_minitimeThu Sep 03, 2009 5:43 pm

Kazza limped across the ground, muttering darkly under her breath. She healed fast, but she still had a twisted ankle from her earlier battle, and wasn't confident with her ability to Levitate. And so she was stuck limping around across the ground. A sudden click signified that her foot was almost fully healed; But nto quite yet. Sighing, she kept walking through teh trees until she came to a stream. A slight frown crinkled her brow before she knelt down before it and splashed some of the cold water on her face. Suddenly, she stopped, bringing her hand down to rest on the ground beside her, before turning, her features already changing. Standing behind her was a grinning ghost-like apparation. Snarling, she stretched to her full size, her claws pointing at the stranger. He regarded her with mild interest. "My, my. Kazza, it has been a while". She froze, her snarl changing to a bemused expression, before changing right back. "You!" She whispered, and lunged at him, swiping the air with her claws, blinded by rage. "You never did learn to control your emotions" This brought on another growling fit from the werewolf, who had now reverted to all fours. Without any more vocal sounds, she charged the person, this time aiming to bite him. He side-stepped quicker than it would be possible for a werewolf, let alone a human. After letting another cry of anger escape, she turned her nose to follow him. This time, however, she slid along the ground, and managed to wrap her arms around his legs before he escaped her grasp, yet again. Frustrated and mad, she stopped for a few seconds, trying to calm ehrself down without success. The rational part of her brain had shut down and was refusing to listen to her. And so she resumed the pointless chase, missing again and again and again until she felt like she'd go crazy. Another of her wild attacks went through, but again to no avail. It seemed like this would go on forever when the man moved so fast that Kazza didn't even see him go, and kicked her in teh back, right on her bruise from an earlier fight. She didn't scream or even make a noise as she felt something crack. The smell of dead pine needles was thick in teh air, and they scratched teh side of her face that was pressed against the forest floor. "Weak, too. Frankly, you're a dissapointment. I don't know why I bother with you". Kazza arched her back in an attempt to buck the stranger off, but he simply grabbed her around the throat and squeezed. The adolescent's vision started to blurr, colours, shapes and lines running together to make a mess of browns, blues and greens. And just as she felt like she was about to loose conciounceness, he let go and air flooded into her lungs again. She didn't stop to gulp in deep breaths, instead she rolled onto her back and kicked upwards at the man. One of her feet conected with him, and she pushed her claws deep into his chest, but he was gone again. The silence hung thick in the air, and immediately Kazza had darted to her feet, twisting around to see where he'd gone. But tehre was nothing. He'd dissappeared, just like a ghost. And she hadn't been able to beat him.

(Thanks. I'll keep it in mind)

Kazza panted as she ran through the forest, her nose pointing skywards in a desperate attempt to catch the man's smell. Nothing greeted her attempts aside from the usual forest smells. Giving up, the adolescent turned back towards the stream, and plunged into it's waters.

The freezing water was like a slap in teh face, but Kazza was glad for it, looking down at her numb limbs and watching the blood wash off them. She wanted to stay there forever, but, unfortunately, she needed to breathe. She gulped for air as she surfaced, and blinked in surprise at the furry face staring down at her. The dog smiled, wagged it's tail and scampered off, barking over it's shoulder. Kazza's confused expression changed slowly to a grin as she followed the Siberian Husky's barks. Her walk broke into a sprint as the dog's barks trailed off, and then turned into high pitched, distressed yelps. As the canine came into view, the problem became clear. Some things were surrounding it. Really, there was no other way to describe them, other than being things.

Kazza charged forwards, and punched teh enarest one. Her fist went into it, and held there, stuck. Horrified, she uncurled her fist, and sliced through the slimy flesh. Gagging at the putrid smell, she continued slicing the thing away from the inside, watching great clumps of it fall off onto the ground. The black bits of it writhed on the ground, and wriggled away from Kazza, who stepped on them and ground them into the ground. After a few minutes of this, the first thing was gone. But there were about five otehrs, and she felt tired and groggy. It must have been an ability of the thing, to realease a gas that made it's attackers and victims fall asleep before it devoured them. Realising that this was a fight she couldn't win, she jumped nimbly past the creatures, snatched the dog up and kept running. The things gurgled angrily and slid after the two with alarming speed. Putting on another burst of speed, the werewolf sprinted as fast as she could, with the dog in her arms watching dizzily as the forest flew by in a blurr of colours.

Finally coming to a stop, she put the dog on the ground, and raised an eyebrow at it. The dog whimpered apolegetically, and wagged it's tail. "I suppose you'd better come with me for now. What's your name?" She asked the dog, using a series of yips, barks and body movements. The dog barked at her a few times, and swivelled it's ears. "Arrow? Nice name. Come on, we need to keep moving" The canine trotted happily trotted beside it's new-found friend as teh duo moved through the forest again.
