BEGIN!

[Saga] Gohan's Training #2 R9pe94

[Using Weighted Armor]
[Turned Super Saiyan Grade 2]

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gohan had just been picked up by a group of Namekians on Earth, after having been in contact with Guru.

Gohan took in a deep breath as he stepped out of the cramped Galatic Transport Vehicle as he looked back and felt pity for those who had to spend any more time in the smelly, disgusting cabins within. He then noticed how much different Earth is than Namek - the first thing he noticed when leaving the terminal was how different the buildings were than those of Namek. Then he began to note other differences, such as the tone of the sky and the shape of the trees. In general, it seemed to be a much more peaceful and relaxing place than Namek. But he knew better.

Guru warned Gohan before he left how sinister Earthlings are. They're cruel at heart and care only about self-satisfaction. Guru told Gohan than Humans were naturally corrupt, pillaging, money-hungry, sex-addicted beings. There were innumerable thefts, murders, and rapes daily. Gohan was scared to be there at first, but when he first stepped foot on the the black rock outside the terminal - what was called "asphalt" - Gohan just realized a major different between Earth and Namek.

The appearance of the inhabitants.

Gohan didn't feel like a freak anymore. Before now, all he had known was Namek and green people with antennae. But here he was normal - he fit in with everybody else. He was part of the crowd.

After overcoming what was basically shell shock, he began to head for the nearest city, as he planned to try and find information on where he could find "Master Roshi," so that he could undergo the training that Guru had sent him down to Earth for.

At first he flew for a few moments, but he then remembered that Guru said that, for the most part, Humans lacked the ability to control their spiritual energy for the most part. In order to avoid bringing attention to himself, Gohan landed back on the ground and began to head onward to South City.

Gohan waited to hear the sound of gravel crunching beneath his feet when he arrived at South City, but there was none to be heard. He just was not accustomed to the black pavement beneath his feet - he somewhat preferred the grimy rocks that covered the Namekian walkways. But the pavement was more tidy - it separated the grass from the walking areas. It definitely had some benefits over gravel - for example, walking in gravel following a storm meant lots of wet sand and mud. On Earth, however, you could simply walk on the rock hard pavement.

The unbeknownst Saiyan asked for some direction help, but was offered none. Humans were rude. Responses like Bugger off, Kid! and I don't have time for games. bothered Gohan. But he knew from what Guru had told him that Humans were rude. Already, Gohan could not wait to complete his training and get off the dreaded planet.

Finally he navigated himself to a town center where people seemed to be flooding around an announcement. Gohan could have definitely muscled his way to the front to read the flyer, but chose to stay back and wait for the others to do so first. Once again, he did not want to attract attention to himself and earn any enemies.

Finally, the crowds cleared. Gohan approached the wrinkled up flyer and wiped spit off of it with his sleeve. He examined it closely.

Master Duwan Killed!

Master Duwan was found dead in his dojo yesterday; the insignia of Akuma was found on his chest. This is "the Devil's" third dojo kill. So far, he has eliminated the masters of dojos in North, West, and East City. Master Bruin of South City is the only one left - and surely, he is the final target of Akuma.

Gohan began to think to himself.

"A master, hmm? I got it! Maybe he can teach me how to find Roshi!"

Gohan, realizing that things were not typically so convenient, sought out to find information on such things. He tried to think hard - back to Guru's lectures of how to navigate around Earth.

Information...Information...Lib..Lib...ary? Libary!

Feeling accomplished and like Guru's lessons actually paid off, he approached a bystander near a house that apparently seemed to be selling wares. Gohan stopped short of him. Because he was only half as tall as the figure above him, he had to wave to get his attention. The man initially waved Gohan off, but Gohan managed to get his attention because he could leave. Gohan spoke in a cheery tone, as he didn't want to be waved off by the people like he was before. "Do you know where the libary is, sir?"

The man rolled his eyes. "Damn tourists," he said. He pointed northward. "Follow that street until you get to West Boulevard. Once there, turn right and it'll be on your left. You can't miss it." The man left Gohan to find it on him own.

Gohan followed the directions. Let's see...North up until West Boulebard...Turn Right...On my Left...Here we are!

The Saiyan looked up at the towering sign. It read: Library, and the letters were spelled out vertically with stones, so that each stone was placed on top of the last one. Gohan entered. He approached a lady at the front desk, assuming she was the keeper or master of information.

"Can I have some information on Akuma, the Dojo destroyer, please?" Gohan asked nicely. The lady didn't respond like those outside - she sweetly led him through a vast wooden labyrinth to a section of books. She pulled a big one off of the shelf and handed it to him.

"Here you go, sweetie."

Gohan smiled and took the book, where he dropped it. He wasn't expecting it to make a loud noise, so when it did, he was embarrassed. He didn't look up to see everyone staring at him, but he knew that they were. He cracked the book open and began turning pages until he finally found a section with the title he was looking for.

Akuma:

Gohan then noticed a rough sketch of Akuma under his name. It depicted a lean, tall, slender being with a sword in either hand. He had ragged clothing covering his body that was torn and bloody. Beneath him was a pile of corpses; all of them with medallions which signified their being a Dojo Master. The corpses, too, were covered by his vast aura which was highly expanded - which displayed either power or rage. His long hair was tied behind his head in a pony tail, but for some reason, Gohan could still not see his eyes. They seemed to be pitch black; he read on.

Akuma, or "The Devil," is one of the most prominent Dojo Destroyers within the past decade. He's singlehandedly decimated four Dojos - all of which, he soon after burned to the ground. He collects the medallions from those that he kills, and many recognize him by the jingling that can be heard by the clanking of the metal medallions with every step he takes. He does not live in seclusion - Civil Authorities know where he resides, but won't approach him and attempt to bring him to justice, for fear that he is too powerful. He wields weapons - typically a sword, though he is known to carry two should he finally meet somebody that is his match. It is assumed that Akuma kills purely for bloodsport, but it is not known whether or not this is a verifiable fact.

Gohan wanted to smirk. What Akuma was doing; who Akuma was, was gross. But Gohan kind of enjoyed the thought of a challenge. Everything was kind of handed to him on Namek; aside from Arthaw, Kizu, and Crono, he never really came across anybody that he couldn't beat. But here, on Earth, he found a formidable opponent on day one. They hidden Saiyan blood was bubbling in his veins, excited for a challenge.

Gohan proceeded to search for terms like Dojo and Master Bruin until he finally came across some helpful results. He discovered the address of the Dojo. The address didn't mean much to Gohan; he didn't know how to navigate these Earthly cities, so he wrote the address down and presented it to the kind librarian. When he got her attention he looked up and gave a great, big smile. "Can you show me how to get here?"

She wasn't entirely sure what this sloppy, greasy kid wanted to do at a Dojo - that much was written all over her face - but nonetheless, she supplied him with directions which eventually led him to his destination. This time, however, he flew at high speeds. He didn't want to get there and find out Master Bruin was already dead, after all.

...

Finally he arrived and entered the Dojo, as he tried to push his greasy hair out of the way so that he would look half presentable for Master Bruin after traveling like that. He had not a single guard - Gohan thought that it was probably a stupid idea, seeing as Bruin had a price on his head from a Bloodsport Bounty Hunter.

He entered through two large doors and saw Bruin sitting alone. He was very alert at first, but became calm when he saw it was just Gohan. He was clearly uneasy, and so Gohan didn't beat around the bush.

"Where are your guards?"

"They won't show up anymore. They're too afraid to die."

"Hmm...right. Do you have a weapon storage closet?"

Master Bruin was somewhat suspicious of Gohan, but pointed him out to the closet anyway, where he found his weapon of choice - a simple wooden staff. He then slowly approached Bruin as to not alert him and sat next to him, as they both meditated and waited for Akuma.

It seemed like only moments after Gohan closed his eyes and began to focus his energy that a metal clanking could be heard behind the door. The footsteps stopped, as the figure was presumably preparing himself for battle.

"Thank you for giving me someone to spend my last moments with, child. Now, please go," Master Bruin remarked in a quivering voice.

"Go? I'm the one fighting this animal."

Before Bruin could respond, Gohan turned Super Saiyan Grade 2 and struck him in the neck with a flat palm so that he fell unconscious, removed the medallion from his neck, stuffed him in the weapons storage closet, and adorned the medallion around his own neck. He stood firmly with his staff, waiting for the door to open. Finally, it slowly creaked open, and a figure very similar to the sketch in the book stood before Gohan.

A brief moment of silence passed. The figure finally smirked, looking down upon Gohan. "This should be easy," he said with a fiery tone in his voice. "I've never fought a child before," he remarked again before laughing in a very sinister manner. The two bulleted toward each other.

Akuma unsheathed his sword in mid air and swung downward; Gohan sidestepped it with ease and jabbed with his pole, poking Akuma in the stomach with force enough to make him back up.

"Damn...you're a slippery little bugger aren't you?"

Gohan remembered back to the Acolytes. They were very strong. They could easily have killed Crono. But none of them knew how to fight; they did not know what they were doing with a weapon. Judging by Akuma's poor posture, and from Kizu's weapon lessons, he knew that Akuma was a poor swordsman. He quickly tired out Akuma with a flurry of swings before disarming him and knocking him unconscious with a vigorous blow to the neck. Gohan removed Bruin's medallion from his neck, removed all the medallions from Akuma's neck, and proceeded to drag him off to a prison - where ever that is.
